The Biltmore is a majestic beauty, and in our opinion geared more toward those who want to live the high life.
We stayed here for three nights with a 1.5 yr old son. While we were given a crib for him, the hotel itself did not appear to be child friendly and the majority of guests we saw passing through the lobby were suited businesspersons. The amenities are standard, we thought we would have more given the price we were paying and the 4star rating. The room we stayed in was old and renovated to bring it up to modern standards. We still felt the tub looked too old, as did much of the bathroom, and should have been replaced.
The actual hotel is huge, the trek to the fitness room is through narrow halls and many doors. However, this does lend itself to many areas in which an overactive toddler is able to run around. (Just be careful of the noise, it carries in such huge, open spaces.)
Parking was $30 a day, plus tip, and we felt this was a little extravagant. Instead, we parked in the city parking lot next door and paid $10/night. My husband went to get the car as I packed the diaper bag and we then loaded up at the curb and left for the day.
Host to
presidents, kings, and Hollywood
celebrities since it opened in 1923, the
Biltmore’s central location puts you and the kids in easy walking/shuttle distance

This landmark property has 683 luxurious

concierge services (super babysitting),
health club facilities (love the gilded
indoor pool), and five restaurants
(including Smeraldi’s, which serves
breakfast/lunch/dinner daily and has an
excellent children’s menu).
