"Nice rooms, buffet mediocre"
Mandalay Bay has nice rooms, and their sister resort, "The Hotel" next door is even better, with suites and 2 bathrooms in each suite. If you don't want to walk through the smoke and crowds at Mandalay Bay, stay at the non-gaming "The Hotel", then play at Mandalay Bay. The buffet is really not good -old food and the same for lunch and dinner - try the restaurants instead.

"Great summer destination."
This is a great upscale kid friendly hotel, sorry no clowns or castles. But fabulous pool area for kids and adults. They have a lazy river that my daughter loves, she sits in my lap. There is also a wave pool, (there is a height restriction) that is so much fun. My daughter is still too young for the wave pool, but there is a shallow part, less than a foot deep, that all the little kids sit and wait for the wave residual to come in and splash them. They also have nice kid friendly restaurants, Red white and blue, House of Blues, Noodle cafe, and a couple other cafe's. The buffet is a good not great. There is a new frozen yogurt and crepes place that the kids love. They have the Shark Reef. You can read my review on that. The Lion king is good for kids 3 and up. But be cautious my Best friend took her 3 year old and it was too loud and a little scary for her. She had nightmares all night.
All in all love this Hotel.

"best casino on the strip"
to begin with the pool looks like a tropical beach. its gorgous and relaxing. the kids and adults both and bask in this wonderful play area. the lazy river really makes you forget your worries and the wave pool is a nice way to cool off. the rooms with those spectacular bathrooms are SPECTACULAR!! recommended to everyone. its the place to be in vegas
