The location and views from Lone Mountain Ranch are amazing. The property is very family-friendly with a children’s program and extensive year-round outdoor activities. Summer favorites include fly fishing, hiking, and horseback riding—winter favorites are cross-country and alpine skiing. The food and staff are both excellent. There is a fabulous massage therapist onsite too.

Lone Mountain Ranch is a historic all-inclusive ranch resort located just 18 miles from the Northwest Corner of Yellowstone National Park. The Ranch provides a warm relaxed western atmosphere, with just the right creature comforts to help guests “get away from it all" in their special Ranch home.
Summer guests take half day and all day rides in the mountains surrounding the ranch and all day rides exploring the spectacular backcountry of Yellowstone. The Ranch's extensive naturalist program offers hikes, wildflower walks, guided trips into Yellowstone, birding, mountain biking, canoeing and kayaking. Winner of the ORVIS Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge of the Year award, we offer guided trips to the area Blue Ribbon trout streams. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included in the package.
The Ranch is a very special place for families with children. Our Outdoor Youth Adventures Program ( ages 4-18) operates from Mid-June until late August. Activities such as horseback or pony rides ( age dependant), nature discovery hikes, animal tracking, leather craft, challenges on the climbing wall and confidence course, canoeing and many more adventurous activities keeps kids wanting to return to the Ranch year after year. Teens have special activities including more adventurous hikes and overnight backpacking trip.
