"Baby it's cold outside....."
We checked into the LaFonda.
Walked around the square.......all bundled up.....in about 30 minutes we were back in the hotel bar for a coffee & hot coco's. Yum.
They had a buffet Mexican food set-up. We gorged.
It is a neat old hotel with lots of Sante Fe" style.
Yes...we walked off our snack. Window shopped at all the indoor stores.
Bought some really cool stationary of the landscape painted by a local painter at the La Fonda general store & a paint by numbers for the boys. Went down stairs to Senior Murphy..grabbed some bags of chocolate candies....for later. We spent the cold day in front of a roaring fire doing finger paints.
In the art studio, we saw a beautiful oil painting by a local artist. Do you do lay-away? It would look great over my fireplace. Oh Santa where are you???
Dashed into the French Bakery before it closed. Purchase some french pastries for breakfast. Then up to the roof-top grotto for to watch the sun set. Gorgeous.
