"Wonderful rooms"
We stayed here as a birthday celebration for my husband when our son was only 8 months old. We got a one bedroom suite in the back half of the hotel and it was perfect.
The living room area was large and after moving the coffee table to the side, there was plenty of space for our crawling baby to squirm around. The room was clean and comfortable.
When we were there, the hotel was actually celebrating a huge anniversary, so there was an enormous party going on at night with two live bands and tons of people. Despite all the noise, you couldn't hear a thing from our room which was perfect. Our baby was down at 7:30pm and the party kicked off at 7pm and didn't end until the wee hours of the morning and we couldn't tell from the comforts of our room.
The crib was great and the staff was very attentive in helping us as much as possible. The one downside was that they in-house restaurant didn't have any highchairs at the time. The hotel provides a great continental breakfast, but it was definitely a bit difficult feeding our busy baby in a big leather armchair without him faceplanting his greasy mouth on the armrest.
The hotel's location is perfect and within walking distance of all the downtown Los Gatos shops. The hotel is actually right next to a park where the library is. Vasona Park has is wonderful for kids and has a miniature steam train, playgrounds, carousel. Well worth a visit if you have the time.
The price was also very reasonable considering we got a one bedroom suite. Would definitely stay here again. There was a pool which a bunch of kids were splashing around in, but we just didn't have the time to take a dip ourselves.
