My family has stayed at quite a few Homewood Suites because we know we can rely on them providing large suite style rooms, clean bedding, a kitchen, and a good breakfast. The Homewood Suites in Palm Desert is no exception. This property is newer and the decor is incredibly nice.
Rooms come with bedrooms separate from the living area ( ahuge plus for parents who don't want to have to go to sleep when the kids do) and couches pull out into beds.
Each suite comes with a fully equipped kitchen including a full fridge, microwave, oven, and range. Cooking a meal or two while one vacation is a great way for families to save money or just stay in and relax instead of dealing with toddlers in public during mealtime.
The hotel provides cribs, high chairs, a business center, and complimentary high speed internet. It also provides a hot breakfast daily and a light meal and beverages Monday through Thursday evenings. I love the little store inside of Homewood Suites that has snacks and necessities for sale because we tend to forget somethng small whenever we travel.
Outsside there is a fenced in pool and spa which is great for those hot desert days. A little putting green provides some fun for the kids when the weather is too cool for swimming or the family isn't in the mood to get wet. A fitness room is available for all those crazy people who like to work out while on vacation.
One unexpected benefit of staying at this particular property is that there is a nice park directly across the street from the hotel with shaded play equipment. After being in the car for a few hours, its a great place to let the kids run off all the pent up energy.
Bottom line: I love Homewood Suites and I would highly recommend both the brand and this hotel to families.
Disclosure: My family received a complimentary stay at this property while working on a story for Suitetrip.com . The hotel did not requested that I express any particular opinion and, as always, all opinions stated are entirely my own.
