Homewood Suites By Hilton Anchorage

"Nice suites"

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights while visiting Anchorage and taking a day trip down to Seward.  We loved being able to have 2 rooms with a kitchenette as we stayed there with our young children and our in-laws.  We could put our kids to bed and still enjoy visiting and watching TV in the other room.  

This hotel is located in a nice area of Anchorage with several large chain restaurants within walking distance.  We quickly found the brand new Target down the street about 10 minutes away which was very essential for snacks, medicine and a new change of clothes.

We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning where our kids loved eating the "rainbow cheerios" that their mom never buys for them.   There were many options for food but some of them included rubbery eggs, pre cut day old fruit and uniform omelets.  It still did the trick.

Our one disappointment with this facility was the indoor pool room.  The pool itself was very nice and had a large jacuzzi next to it which we enjoyed very much.  However, the floor was a very slippery tile and my 1 year old and 3 year old could not walk on it without falling down.  So, they had to hold my hand or I had to hold them and try not to fall down myself.  There were never dry towels available when we arrived so we had to ask the front desk for more.  When other kids played in the pool and made any noise, the sound echoed off the walls and the noise level quickly became nearly unbearable.  My husband and I enjoyed an outdoor game of basketball with a ball from the hotel which rounded out a nice stay at this hotel.
