"Room to Roam"
HGI Northpoint has all that you expect from this chain. Clean rooms, courteous staff, open lounge area and dining corner, and fresh cookies greet you upon arrival.
The pool is not heated, as advertised in the hotel binder, but is refreshingly cool at the end of July. Look for towels in the fitness center before stepping outside.
North Point Mall is within walking distance for the brave, or those with a stroller. Surrounding also are several family-friendly restaurants including Golden Corral Buffet, Sweet Tomatoes Salad Buffet, and Chuck E. Cheese within walking distance with a stroller for little ones.
The two biggest things I should mention are- the room size and security. The King Suites are HUGE! I honestly had an apartment in Los Angeles about half the size of this place. A king bed and twin size pullout barely make a dent in the square footage of this room. The jacuzzi tub is separate from the shower and should be taken into consideration when booking as it is the only tub in the suite and may be difficult to use with a small child. The king bed has weird, throw pillow sized pillows.
There is a notice at check-in about car break-ins. It was not enough to make me worry about my family's safety, but I did secure our valuables as suggested.
This is one way to enjoy some luxury at a moderate price. There are several kid-friendly attractions a short drive away including: Olympic Park, Museums, Six Flags, shopping, White Water Theme Park, Zoo Atlanta, GGeorgia Aquarium, and World of Coca Cola.

suburbs. Another nearby attraction is Verizon Wireless
Amphitheater.

feet of event space consisting of banquet facilities and conference
rooms. Complimentary shuttle services include an area shuttle which
runs to destinations within 5 mi and a shopping center shuttle.
Wedding services and tour/ticket assistance are available. Guest
parking is complimentary. Additional property amenities include
multilingual staff, gift shops/newsstands, and laundry facilities.
A total renovation of this property was completed in March
2008.

shower/tub combinations, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers.
In addition to complimentary wireless and wired high speed Internet
access, guestrooms offer multi line phones, MP3 docking stations,
and free local calls. 37 inch LCD televisions have premium cable
channels, Oncommand video, and pay movies. Air conditioned rooms
also include blackout drapes/curtains, electronic/magnetic keys,
irons/ironing boards, and clock radios. Guests may request a
turndown service, extra towels/bedding, and wake up calls.
Housekeeping is available. Cribs (infant beds) and rollaway beds
are available on request. Guestroom renovations were completed in
March 2008.
