"Great beach and kid's club"
Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel share grounds. The beach is one of the prettiest in all Hawaii; it's long, sandy, crescent-shaped, shallow, calm and great for children during summer months. Families with young children gravitate toward the north end, where a small cove provides year-round calm waters. In winter, however, Hapuna's rough waters can be dangerous, so use caution when entering the water. The Prince Keiki Club offers a variety of activities including Hawaiian-style arts and crafts, sandcastle building, hula dancing, T-shirt painting, beach treasure hunts, and movies. Full and half day rates are available.
