"Convenience & Fun"
Our stay at the Grand Pacific was fantastic, and when checking out, I had wished that we stayed longer than we had originally planned.
As everyone else has noted, the resort is the perfect spot to enjoy legoland as you don't even have to get out and drive there, a shuttle runs to & from all day and it is close enough you can even walk. Downtown San Diego is just a short drive away, close to Sea World, the zoo, and so many other fun attractions, and the beach at Carlsbad itself is also quite lovely and a fun way to spend a day.
The resort's condo setup adds convenience for families who don't want to spend all of their time/money eating out. A full kitchen offers the chance at homemade meals if you so desire.
My girls loved the pool area. It boasts a fun splash, soft play area for the little ones including a small water type slide that they played on for hours!
The resort is a great bet for any family looking for a getaway close to every activity, with lots of on-site perks!

"Awesome for families"
We stayed here when we went to legoland. This was my first time staying in a condo. I was very impressed at the size of the condo. We had two
full bathrooms and baths. The price was reasonable for what we got. I just wish it would have included housekeeping services.

"Convenient, clean, cost-effective"
The Grand Pacific Palisades is not a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Their Vacation Villas are, however, the perfect place to stay with kids when visiting the San Diego area. It's within walking distance to Legoland and an easy drive to the Wild Animal Park, the Zoo, the beach, and Seaworld. The villas have 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms, a kitchen and a sitting area. We stayed there with 3 kids and my mother-in-law, and it was plenty of space. The location gave us the option of returning midday from Legoland for a healthy lunch and naps. After our rest, we headed back to Legoland for more fun. The accommodations are clean and fairly updated. They are not posh. If you're used to the Four Seasons, you're likely to consider the rooms slightly tacky and sparse. There isn't much in the way of "service" either. However, if you are focused on convenience and cost effectiveness, the Grand Pacific Palisades is the way to go.

"Great location. Grand place to stay"
Across the street from LEGOLAND, overlooking the Carlsbad Flower Fields and the Pacific Ocean, this should be your family’s headquarters for fun in North County. You can leave your car in the hotel parking lot and walk across the street to the side entrance to LEGOLAND. Return during the day for naps and lunch breaks—an ideal way to plan your stay.
The contemporary Mediterranean architecture of the hotel encloses ninety spacious hotel rooms and a seventy-one-unit time-share resort. A full-service restaurant, room service, two inviting outdoor heated pools and whirlpools, concierge services, social activity director, a game room, and a fitness center—all staffed with friendly, helpful people—make this a grand place!

This hotel is located close to the airport. Attractions in the
neighborhood include Sealife Aquarium and Legoland California.
Another nearby attraction is Flower Fields of Carlsbad.

limited hours. Recreational amenities include an outdoor pool, a
children's pool, a spa tub, and a fitness facility. This 3.5 star
property has a business center and offers secretarial services,

property has event space consisting of banquet facilities and
conference rooms. Guest parking is complimentary. Additional
property amenities include barbecue grills, an arcade/game room,
and multilingual staff.
