"Toddler's favorite"

First of all, let's make one thing clear, this is not a fancy hotel. The rooms won't impress and are barely clean, and our bathroom only had a shower. The TV was fuzzy and didn't have a kid channel. The buffet is nothing to write home about. However, we paid $30/night (brought an inflatable bed for 3rd child)! Our 3 year-old twins ate for free and we even got coupons for our 10 year-old! The arcade was great fun for all three (in many games you win something no matter what!). They absolutely LOVED the decor and atmosphere and kept asking to go back to The Castle whenever we were out. The cheaper eateries (especially Krispy Kreme) are great for the whole family and they have a wonderful "princess boutique full of dolls and princess costumes for little girls). The pool area was very pleasant with several large heated pools including one with a couple of water slides, a 10in. pool for little ones, several hot tubs, lots of lounge chairs. Last but not least, the Tournament of Kings was an absolute hit with the entire family.

"Very Clean "

We stayed at Excalibur for our honeymoon and loved it.  Our room was big and we were right on the strip.  The staff was great and our room was cleaned every day.  We were very pleased with the hotel and the food they had there.  It was a great price and we will stay there again someday.

We loved this hotel! It was a very kid friendly place to go! Which is a must! They had a great pool and the staff were very friendly! We got the best service at this hotel! We love all of the perks that this hotel offers! They also have very reasonable prices! The rooms were great too, with awesome views!

"Like the Idea"

The Excalibur Hotel sounds really good from just the name.  We expected a little more than what we got, especially for Vegas.  My son liked the scenery and the decor.  We did not stay at this hotel, just went to play and look around.  The casino was not remarkable either. It is not somewhere that I would like to visit again unfortunately.

"Be careful of calling "family friendly""

Although the hotel is aging, we've stayed here three times while traveling through Vegas as a fun place to take our girls and let them feel like a "Princess".
The problem is that on our most recent trip (Summer 2010), we found that the hotel is going through some major upgrades.  That sounds nice: new, remodeled rooms,  more restaurants, cleaner surroundings.  The only thing they are leaving out in their overhaul is the original "family friendliness" that gained it's original success.  Upon check in on a Tuesday night, the entire lobby/casino floor (which you have to walk through to get to your room) was flooded with scantily clad dancing women on top of tables and slot machines.  The arcade has been scaled back (not as much open), and the kid friendly options are seeming to disappear in an attempt to gain more revenue from an adult audience.
Still a good bargain, and the kids LOVED the slide in the pool, but beware of labeling it "family friendly".

"Excalibur"

This one is definitely a lot of fun.  Besides being shaped as a castle (what kid wouldn't love that?), it has a fun little jousting/dinner show that the kids definitely enjoyed.  It is a little old, but it was definitely worth going to...fun for the whole family!

"Vegas with kids"

The Excalibur Hotel and Casino is a fun & family friendly way to stay in vegas when traveling with you kidlits. Our favorite activity/show was the Knights of the Roundtable.  It was so entertaining, and fun for the entire family.  My kids loved the interaction with the actors and eating the meal with your fingers!! The decor of the inside and out is fun and entertaining. They feature a very relaxing, large outdoor pool area for those hot Vegas days that the entire family will enjoy!!  This hotel/casino is located right on the strip and within walking distance to most everything on the Vegas strip. If your looking for a family friendly hotel in the heart of Vegas....this ones for you!!!

"Smokey"

The dnner show at the casino was a lot of fun. You get to watch jousting and eat dinner without any utensils. The food was good, cornish hen and vegetables. Pretty smokey to get to any of the activity areas. We don't like smoke but then again what do you expect with going through a casino in Vegas.

"Can't beat it for the price!"

You really get what you pay for at this hotel. Rooms are the cheapest in Las Vegas, and it shows in the upkeep. Everything is old and dated, but it is by far the cheapest of the landmark hotels. This hotel is great for families because it's one of the only ones that caters toward children. The kids will love the Knights of the Roundtable show and dinner, and they will love playing the carnival games! It is not a fancy hotel, but you can't beat it for the price!

"Much more fun for kids than adults!"

For whatever reason, kids absolutely LOVE this hotel! I should start by saying this is not a luxury hotel. They have rock-bottom rates, and it shows. The whole hotel is old and dated, and for an adult trip I wouldn't dream of recommending it, but it is fantastic for kids. The show is great- my siblings talked about it for months after we saw it. They couldn't get over eating Excalibur-style (no utensils). The carnival games are just what you'd expect- they cost a lot and the prizes are lame, but they are so fun for the kids to play. Expect to save money on the hotel and buffet and spend a lot of money at the show and game room.

"Not Kid Friendly"

We were having a bit of a family reunion in vegas.  We had to bring our toddler.  This hotel is supposed to be family friendly but nothing could be further from the truth.  The room we stayed in had a shower only ( how many kids are used to just showers?) Which was the same in all the rooms are family members stayed in.  Additionally there was no deadbolt.  you could lock the door but a simple push of the door handle unlocked it!  Thirdly there were no cartoon channels available for the kids.. several cable channels but none with family friendly t.v.  The only good thing was there was a family pool separated by the adult one.

"Oldie but goodie!"

This hotel is a bit old but if you bring your kids to the city that never sleeps bring them here. They have a fun arcade and carnival area set up, the knights show is really fun (a little expensive but its Vegas). Food should be found elsewhere but I would definately make this the home base for child based entertainment in a very adult city.

"Not my top pick - but ok"

I would only stay here if I found a really, really good deal.  It would have to be significant as there are much better options in Vegas.  Its ok.  Not bad but I always find their casino to be one of the stinkiest in town.

Rooms are basic and I had decent service from the hotel, although we really did not require anything other than accommodations.  No problems to complain about but the hotel/casino left me flat.

Its fine, but like I've mentioned there are much better places to stay.

"My daughter felt like a princess"

We stayed at the Excalibur when our oldest daughter was 2 at the time. She could not believe that she would be spending the night in a castle. This is the perfect hotel for young children as they still believe in Fantasy.
Our room was clean and we experienced quick check-in and check-out. We did not go to the children's attractions like the arcade since she was so young.

"Bargain trip with great fun for the whole family!"

From tons of restaurants and fun attractions to gambling for the adults this hotel has it all.  Horse jousting is a great treat for all ages.  The other fun games and attractions include jugglers, magicians and candle making all in one place.
Even though the food prices have gone up considerably, the hotel seems as cheap as ever!  I have gotten emails promoting $29 dollar rooms.  Where else can you stay for $29 a night and have free entertainment for all ages?

"One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in"

We stayed in Excalibur on our way back from Utah as a stopover with our children thinking it would be a kid friendly spot. Wrong! From the time we arrived until the time we left we were miserable. Check in took forever. The rooms were dumpy and dingy. The arcade area was a joke with half of the attractions closed. Everything in that hotel was filthy dirty. They wanted to charge $20 per crib to put a pack and play in our room! I had never been charged for a pack and play let alone $20! This is not the Exaclibur I remember when I was a kid. It is basically a former kid friendly themed hotel that has taken a detour to trashville. I normally don't like bashing a place like this but it was just awful. We will never be returning. There are plenty of other great family friendly spots in the area.

"Not a fan of Excalibur"

I typically do not like to write negative reviews (if you can't say anything nice...) but Excalibur left me with such a bad  taste in my mouth I just have to. We went to Exaclibur because we were stopping in Vegas on our way home from Utah and Excalibur seemed like a good place to stay with little ones. WRONG! The check in line took FOREVER. The rooms are tiny and awful. The arcade is in the basement and old and run down. All the fun Excalibur themed things I remembered about Excalibur from when it first opened are gone. Now its just a dumpy hotel on the strip that claims to be kid friendly. Don't waste your time.

"Vegas is Family-Friendly Afterall!"

The Excalibur is the perfect family oasis!  We recently stayed there with our small children and had a blast!  Their newly refurnished rooms (located in Tower II) are not only clean, but stylish and chic with lots of comforts: large bathroom, Ipod docking station, large flat-screen TV.  My kiddos loved sleeping in a "castle" and visiting the children's arcade.  The pool has a "family" designated area with slides and waterfalls!  Plus, if you get bored you can take the shuttle across the street to Mandalay Bay and check out their shark aquarium!

"A kids stop on the Strip"

Although it looks pleasing outside there isn't too much inside for kids. There is a huge area with carnival games and arcade. The kids will love it but it will hurt your pocket book more than what its worth. For free activities they do offer puppet shows. There are also a variety of vendors and artists.
