"Great location, spacious rooms, "

We came from CT with the whole family... so all 4 kids. We debated renting two rooms, but there are no connecting rooms throughout the hotel, so we ended up all shacking up together in one room. Luckily there was enough space. We had two double beds in the bedroom and a pull-out in the living room, so everyone had a spot to lay their head.

The in-house TGI Friday's served up complimentary breakfast each morning which was great for our hungry kids and saved us a pretty penny on breakfast foods. Good to get their early if you can get the kids organized fast enough.

Location can't be beat especially for the price. Based on my research, most of the other hotels in the area were charging comparable prices, but only fit 4 in a room and didn't provide free breakfast. Being across the street from the Franklin and the Natural Science Museum was a total treat.

The kitchenette was disappointing since there was no cutlery or dishware. However, when we called for some to be delivered, they sent some up. Be sure not to order from the Chinese restaurant that puts its flyer in the room. We waited close to an hour for the food to arrive.

Great for big families.

"Suite Living for Families"

Take a two year old, two cousins in their 20s and one mom and put them in Philadelphia for the weekend, what do you get? An absolutely exhausted, but thoroughly happy bunch.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites on a Saturday night the weekend before Labor Day. The hotels has 288 newly renovated one bedroom suites (king or double in the bedroom and a pull-out sofa in the living room) to choose from. In a nutshell, rooms are ENORMOUS and renovated, great amenities for families and the location is perfect.

Accommodations:
- Each of these newly renovated one-bedroom suites provides plenty of space for the entire family. Even with our party of four, my toddler had plenty of room to run around.
- Bathroom is not connected to the master bedroom. BINGO! Didn't have to sneak around in the dark to go to the bathroom when my son was snoozing away.
- Kitchenette had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Not setup for full-on cooking, but who wants to cook on vacation.
- If you like views, go for the views here because you'll get an absolutely stunning view of Logan Circle and the fountain all the way to the Rocky steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. My son loved standing out on the balcony and watching all the cars go by down on the circle.

Amenities and Services
- The in-house restaurant is T.G.I. Friday's which provides room service as well as the complimentary buffet breakfast. Go before 10am on the weekends in the summer because it gets crowded. We had to wait in line for about 15 minutes. The cook-to-order omelets, fresh fruit, yogurts and multi-grain breads were a great welcome to our cheesesteak filled arteries.
- Cribs, coin laundry available
- Manager's reception each night for a quick snack and drinks before dinner if the kids get the munchies.
- The staff is super friendly and helpful. We had a broken mini fridge and they replaced it within 15 minutes.

Location
- With an address of 1776 Ben Franklin Parkway, this has got to be a great spot. You're a 5 minutes walk to the Franklin and Natural Science Museum. A 15 minutes walk to the Museum of Art, Rodin and the Franklin playground. Shops and restaurants are all around.
- The downside is parking is expensive ($41/night at the hotel). On the weekend, you can park in the lot down the street for $9 for a 24 hours period which is quite the deal. Be sure to check out the hotel's special packages. A couple of them like the Philly Overnight Package provide you with complimentary overnight parking.

Value
- All of their one-bedroom suites start at $129/night. You basically get twice as much space compared with the other hotels close-by because of the extra room. Rooms with a view start at $179/night. If you book and pay in advance they sometimes offer rooms at a $20/night discount. Absolute steal for a one-bedroom suite in this location.

We loved staying here and would have stayed longer if we had the time. Philadelphia has so much to see and this was the ideal spot to set up as family HQ. Everything was within walking distance or a quick 5 minute drive away.
