"Great in the wintertime for families"
You can’t get anywhere near Galena without seeing signs for the Eagle Ridge Inn and Resort, off US 20 about 8 miles east of town. In summer you’ll see golfers aplenty on the 4 championship 18-hole courses.
From November through March the resort’s winter activities are open to the public, including sleigh rides, ice-skating, sledding, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. There is a trail fee, and there are other charges for renting equipment.
Lodging at the resort comprises 80 inn rooms and more than 300 other accommodation units, including houses, town houses, condos, and golf villas. Guests may enjoy the indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, fitness center, game room, indoor golf center, and children’s playroom.
