Our family absolutley loves this hotel! We always stay in one of the larger suites because we are a family of 5 and its nice to have personal space. Our boys age ranges are 3-12 and there is something for everyone here! We love all the water activitys but also the game area and the location of the property. Its just a short drive to local attractions and its right on the ocean.
This is an excellent hotel. I love staying here. It is clean. We haven't eaten at the restaurant but have enjoyed the little coffee shop they have on location. The indoor slides are a blast. My daughter and I love going down them. My husband loves the hot tub. They have several indoor ones and an outdoor one as well.
While I used to go to Myrtle quite a bit growing up, we just haven't been much in the past several years. So, this past spring, we finally decided to go. After a lot of Internet searching, we found Dunes Village. I'm so glad we did!! We had a wonderful one bedroom condo - the bedroom had 2 queen beds, a full kitchen, huge bathroom with jetted tub, living room and dining area, plus a Murphy bed and fold out sofa if we really needed it! We spent a lot of time in the two indoor waterparks - there's one under each of the two buildings that make up the resort. One has larger slides, while the other caters to a quieter, younger crowd. Both of our kids loved it!
The beach area is pretty quiet because while it's on Ocean Blvd., it's not in the main downtown district. It's in a pretty safe area, and it's well maintained and clean. The parking deck is across the street. If you don't feel like playing chicken with the cars, you can always take a golf cart across the street.
Dunes Village is a fabulous family friendly hotel. The indoor water parks were a hit with our family, and the close proximity to the beach was a huge plus. The staff and service were excellent. We will definitely be staying there again with our family again!
We love this place! The indoor pools have a waterslide and seperate children's water play area with many fun characters. There are pool tables and indoor games for days when it's rainy or you just don't want to be outside. The beach is clean and the staff is friendly. The rates a re reasonable for what you get and we plan on staying there for more of our trips to the coast.
If you are looking for a family resort that has something for all ages, then this is the place! It is oceanfront with an indoor waterpark, kiddie pools, lazy rivers, game rooms, 2 restaurants, and a coffee and ice cream shoppe. The rooms are large and clean and the service was great!
