Doubletree Castle Hotel Orlando

"They treat you like royalty"

This hotel is unlike any other Doubletree.  From the minute you pull up to the hotel, you are taken back to a time of castles, knights and jousting.  The hotel's exterior looks like a castle and has ample parking.

Like any other Doubletree, you are given a warm chocolate chip cookie upon check-in.  The lobby is inviting and the staff was very friendly and accomodating.

We have stayed in two different rooms at the castle and prefer a pool view.  The rooms are very nice, typical hotel room.  The medieval theme is carried through in the rooms.

The pool is large circle pool with a fountain in the middle of the pool.  There are plenty of chairs around the pool and have four gazebos that are shaped like mini castles.

The breakfast was very nice, but at $16 for breakfast, I would walk across the street to Friendly's or some of the other local restaurants that are within walking distance.

If you are making a trip to Orlando, the castle is located right on International Drive behind Tony Roma's and is next door to Pirate's Cove Mini Golf.

Go to their website before you arrive and print out the scavenger trivia worksheet.  The girls enjoyed running around the lobby when we got there trying to find the answers.
A must do:  if there aren't any private events scheduled, go to the top of the castle for a beautiful roof view of the fireworks at Disney.
