We stayed at the Days Inn just outside of Page, AZ in July 2012.
We had one room with two queen beds for our family of 6. Our kids are ages 10, 8, 5 and 2. Mom and Dad had one bed, the three older kids slept sideways on the other bed and we brought a pack n' play to accommodate our 2 year old. We all slept well, but I think it helped that we all played hard at the lake each day and came back exhausted!
The air conditioning in the room worked incredibly well and the temp was nice and cool. The room was clean and the maid service kept things tidy without disturbing our anything we left in the room.
Our room was located on the first floor which worked out great for us! We had a sliding glass door to go outside to our car when needed. This was perfect for getting everything and everyone loaded into the car each morning. When we were done loading I would lock the sliding door from the inside of the room and then walk out the side door of the hotel at the end of the hallway and walk to the car parked close by.
Breakfast was good, but the quality wasn't spectacular. However, the selection was great and all of the kids were able to find plenty of things to eat to make them happy in the morning. The breakfast options included make your own waffles, eggs, biscuits, gravy, a different kind of meat each morning, muffins, danish, selection of breads for toasting, fresh fruit, instant oatmeal packets and cold cereal options.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
The Days Inn is located across the street from a Super Walmart. Each morning we would stop by to get ice and various things we needed. Inside the Walmart is a Subway. It is open in the mornings for breakfast, but we would stop by and get sandwiches for lunch and stick them in the cooler.
Immediately next to the hotel is a Jack-in-the-Box fast food restaurant and a gas station, which was very convenient for filling up the boat.
The hotel is about five to ten minutes from downtown Page where most of the restaurants are located.
We launched the boat from the Antelope Point Marina which was about ten to fifteen minutes away.
