"Great for Sandy Beach Visits"

My family and I stumbled upon the Coventry Inn while on an impromptu trip through the San Francisco area.

After a few days on the road and one long afternoon playing at Pacifica Beach for hours, we rolled in San Francisco with a hotel name and address on our blackberry.  We had googled places in the Marina district, hoping to find a 3-star hotel which would give us one evening of rest before our journey home the next day.  

A friend recommended Coventry Inn as a family-friendly hotel in the Marina District for two reasons: parking inclusion and double-queen beds.  For a family of five and all within the 5'2" to 6' range, queen beds are a plus!  THe additional space in the room also allowed our littlest the comfort of crashing on the couch.  The AAA rate of $95 also helped keep our spontaneous night in the city within budget range.

We were able to park underground for the entire stay -included in the rate.  Despite the older decore and slightly worn carpets, the hotel was very clean and good enough for our sandy selves.

Excellent was the proximity to Union Street and Chestnut, both teaming with places for eating (various income levels considered) and all within walking distance for even the littlest of tykes.

I highly recommend Coventry Motor Inn for a no frills, easy-on-the-purse stay in the city.  The Marina district is an excellent place to park your family for access to the Golden Gate Bridge, Exploratorium, walking along the bay and Fisherman's Wharf.
