"Excellent location and pool for the $"

We stayed at this hotel when visiting Walt Disney World and Animal Kingdom in early December 2009. There are a lot of positives about this hotel:

* It is very close (just a mile or so) from Disney's main gate, and you can easily drive a rental car or take the hotel's FREE shuttle to the parks.

* It has a beautiful, heated outdoor pool and a hot tub.

* The price was very reasonable.

* The price includes a free hot breakfast every morning! There are a few odd things on the menu, like baked beans for breakfast? but they also serve Mickey-shaped waffles and scrambled eggs (the powdered kind), and some donuts and cereal and such. It is not something you would want to eat every morning for a week, but if you are doing character breakfasts or want to walk to a restaurant to eat every so often for variety, it is just fine.

* If you stay on a high floor and request a room facing Disney, you might be able to see the fireworks at night.

* The room was pretty comfortable and clean.

* Our room faced a small local amusement park, but was surprisingly quiet. We enjoyed looking out at night and seeing the rides all lit up.

The hotel is only about 2.5 or 3 stars, I think, but personally I would rather spend my vacation money enjoying Disney than worrying about a top-notch hotel. This one gave us the basics that we needed, while allowing some money leftover to spend at those super expensive theme parks!
