"Great place to stay with the kids!"
We really liked this hotel when we went to Disneyland this last Christmas. First of all, I have three young kids and they were so excited when we pulled in because the hotel looks like a castle. We told them that we were staying in Snow White's castle! It's about 2 blocks away from Disney and it's got TONS of places to eat within walking distance. The room was clean and nice and large. We'll definitely stay there again.

"Needs an upgrade"
We stayed at the Castle Inn over Christmas 2007. It was an o.k. hotel. Everything was clean, but it was definitely old and run down. We had a "family suite" which ended up being two rooms with a tiny hallway in between. It was nice at the end of the day to put the kids to bed and then relax. However, the other room was right up against the door - with the bed right next to the window adjacent to the walkway. It felt like people were constantly walking past my bed!
Parking was terrible. There were not enough spots for vehicles. Sometimes, you had to wait to park - particularly if you went to dinner late or came back after the parks closed. Spots are not convenient to the rooms.
While the hotel is priced very affordably, I would not recommend it. It is just too run down. We felt safe and clean, but it was not the nicest hotel.
It also had no independent shuttle to the parks and is too far to walk with little ones.

"Great as home base"
The Castle Inn has all that you need to create your home away from home yet be close to Disneyland. The pool is a great way for the kids to relax after a long day at the park.
