"Nice campground"

This is a great campground for one night or a whole week of camping.  We met many people from other countries traveling through the United States and taking a stop at this first-come, first-served campground.

It is well forested, shady and beautiful.  Many sites are near rocks that offer fun climbing and scrambling.  Bridalveil creek is a short walk from the campsites and offers a small creek for wading and exploring.

Our whole family was very cold at night and had to sleep with many blankets.  We woke to find our water frozen over, even in August.

We took many day trips to great destinations and hikes such as Glacier Point, Taft Point, and Sentinel Dome.  We even went to Glacier Point for a ranger led program watching the full moon rise over the Sierra.  Something we wouldn't have done if we were staying in Yosemite Valley.  There are several trail heads to alpine peaks and meadows near this campground.

By the way, this campground is no where near the actual waterfall of Bridalveil that flows into the valley, so you do not need to be afraid of that danger.
