I am disappointed to read the recent reviews of this hotel. Our family had a great time when we visited last winter! My friend and I traveled with our children (there were 6 of us total) our suite was perfect! We had a fireplace, jacuzzi tub (outside of the bathroom) almost the size of a kiddie pool for my 3 year old! All 4 kids played in the tub. Then warmed up by the fireplace. There was a separate bedroom with 2 beds as well as a king size bed and pull out couch. Plenty of room for everyone! The pool was fun! And when we needed to stay an extra day because of a sick child the hotel offered us a discount on the next night! Sure it is a little older and not "flashy" but the price was GREAT!
We love a good deal, but sometimes its worth paying a little extra. We stayed @ the Atlantis for 2 nights and had a fantastic time! The food was amazing and the staff from begining to end were wonderful! It is a little pricey but if you fit in some local free fun it makes up for the cost!
I had booked this hotel online for our trip and online it looked so nice- Not nice when we arrived! The pictures on the website must be old because the hotel was horrible! The outside is not kept up or maintained! We got inside and checked in to our Mermaid Suite and I was so excited to surprise our daughter- The smell in the hotel was awful and the room was so old and outdated! We dropped our bags and went to the indoor water park to soon find out it is falling apart with paint chipping and was dirty. We went back to our room sat on the bed, which was curb material- yuck- We packed up our things and asked for a refund, which we never got! We went to a different hotel- Not a nice hotel!
I felt this hotel was more on the dirty side. Our room was clean, but the common areas were filthy, as well as the waterpark areas. Pool areas seem a tad outdated, like they haven't been updated in quite a while. My kids still had fun but it was nothing special by any means. My purse was stolen while we were there and the staff was very rude when I asked for help.
Get a King Neptune Suite; it will be spacious and a nice place to retreat to when you tire of the water park. The water park is good for little kids, and there's a nice big open pool, but there are no big thrill slides; just a tot area with small slides. For kids under age 8 or 9, it's perfect. There is not wireless Internet in the rooms, so if you want to go online, bring an ethernet cord so you can hook into it. There is no free breakfast and the only restaurant on the premises is the snack bar in the pool area. There are refrigerators and microwaves in the suites, though, so you can bring your own food.
