"Jungle Trekking "

The kids' adventure course at Zoom Air was a hit with my 5 and 7 year-old sons and the 4 year-old daughter of my friend. After spending 15 minutes learning the ropes from the instructor and trying out the practice course, the kids ventured out onto the main kids' course. This challenging, but safe course for little ones that are between 36 and 60 inches tall (and at least 4 years old), meanders through tall trees around the entryway to the Central Florida zoo. The trees provided some much needed shade for the Florida heat, but I would recommend visiting Zoom Air only during the cooler months.  Parents must travel below their children as they walk above (about 4 feet off the ground) on swaying wooden walkways. The children are prevented from falling by the use of 2 carabiners clipped to the main safety lines, and they must be capable of unclipping and reclipping themselves to the lines. Our 4 year-old friend didn't have any problems with this. Prepare to spend an hour to complete the course with younger children and 35 - 45 minutes with older ones.
