We've been here with our church youth group several times and the kids all love it. If you're in another age group it's not the best. The park is small enough you don't feel too uneasy letting groups of middle school kids go off but not so small that you're seeing all your groups on a regular basis.
I grew up going to Cedar Point and with great coasters like that it's hard to compare other places based on coasters. They also don't have great shows for adults that you get in places like Branson.
I thought the price was high for the experience but like I said before our whole group of kids loved it and would go again in a heart beat.
Worlds of Fun is only 3 hours from my hometown so we visited this amusement park often, plus we have family in kansas city. For little kids, Camp Snoopy is the place to be, you don't have the height requirements like the adult rides and there are tons of other kids to play with. Then you have the rides for those kids who love roller coaster and other head rushing rides. Then there is my favorite part of the park-Oceans of fun. This is separate so you need to buy another ticket or a bundled package which will save you more money. You could do a 2 day pass so one park one day and the other the next. Also, in the surrounding areas there are coupons available for admission like coke products have $2 off if you bring in one of their specially marked cans. Or I am sure you could find a coupon online. I remember going here for a girl scout trip in 5th grade and we had a blast, we went to both parks and brought back many memories.
When we went to worlds of fun we went right when the doors opened and we go to do all of the big rides twice in less than 3 hours. The rides were great and the lines were quick. The only problem is we planned to spend the whole day there and by noon we were tired of rides so we ended up buying passes to oceans of fun and spent the rest of the day laying around the pool. Only $15 to add oceans of fun to your ticket once you are in
I used to work here and I have been a guest many many times as well. Kids don't notice the bad stuff so they love it . There are parts of the park that smell really bad - especially on a really warm day. Everything is very expensive and adds up super fast. It is fun if you have never been to an amusement park but obviously pales compared to Disney World or Six Flags.
Worlds of Fun has a lot to offere inculding rides, games and shows. There are several rides suitable for younger children, but a lot are better for big kids. You can get a pass for both the amusement park and water park, but one day isn't enough to enjoy both, so it's not really worth it.
I enjoy Worlds of Fun when I go. It has some fun coasters and a family friendly feeling. I love the Snoopy characters in the kids area. But to me it's a little expensive. And I also feel there are a higher proportion of rides that spin around than you find at other parks. If you don't like spin rides you won't get to do much. But I'm glad Kansas City has an amusement park.
This is an amusement park, so it's pricey and the food is overpriced, but it is whole day of fun for everyone.
There are numerous roller coasters (from the wooden Timberwolf to the spinning cars coaster Spinning Dragons-our family favorite), smaller kids rides (like the Red Baron and Whacky Worm roller coaster)-check out Camp Snoopy if you've got toddlers and preschoolers or early grade school kids that don't like bigger rides. There are shows (we love the dog show and kids karoke), water rides (where you will get wet-as in drenched, just not kind of wet), and plenty of places to eat that range from sit down to quick service.
You can rent strollers, double strollers, wheel chairs, and lockers if you need to. We always rent a locker and stash dry clothes inside (we change after all the water rides).
Parking is an extra fee, but there is plenty of it.
Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun run specials on their websites for discount tickets and discount season passes. Throughout the season they also run specials for discount days, so check their website often.
It is a whole day of fun for every age. Camp Snoopy is so large that the admisson price is totally worth it for younger children.
We usually visit Worlds of Fun at least once a year. We LOVE the shows and they have a great assortment of rides. The kids area is our favorite and provides lots of entertainment for the little ones. Their fireworks display during the summer is great. We just wish it was a little less expensive so we could visit more often!
This is a great theme park. Plenty to do with children, young and teenage years. There are a bunch of roller coasters, and other such rides for the older people, then the snoopy land that is just perfect for snoopy lovers and children. Overall this is a park I make a point to go to each year, at least once.
