The Withlacoochee State Forest Headquarters is located on Highway 41, north of Brooksville at 15019 Broad Street, Brooksville. The visitor center is at 15003 Broad Street.
Visitor Center Hours are Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm, Saturday from 8am-12pm, and Sunday from 12:30-4:30pm
Florida’s second-largest state forest, Withlacoochee’s 120,000 acres are divided into six tracts, with three main campgrounds and various recreation areas. You’ll find picnic areas, a boat ramp, nature trails, canoeing, snorkeling, and camping. The 46-mile
paved Withlacoochee State Trail (352-394-2280) follows an old train route through the park and accommodates bikers and hikers.
