"Easy Enchanted Hike in Any Weather"

The Winner Creek Trail begins right out the back door of the Hotel Alyeska.  It is a well-maintained gravel path through the forest, with wooden bridges that cross streams and swampy areas.  In the summer it is a fantastic spot for a hike with the kids.  You can make it as short or as long as you wish.  About 2.5 miles in, there is a hand bridge over the creek.  We have yet to make it that far, but would love to be able to get there sometime!  In the winter, this trail would be great for snowshoeing.  We even ventured out on a rainy fall morning and enjoyed extra protection from the downpour provided by the spruce trees.  After hiking, you can stop in the Alyeska Resort (if you aren't staying there already) for some coffee and hot chocolate.
