Went to Wills Park on July 4,2010. Its quite large with lots of fun things to occupy the kids. Since it was the July 4, there was several fun stuff to do like enjoy a concert, face painting for the kids and lots and lots of activities. The place was quite crowded and the line for each activity was really unbelievable. In spite of all that, we had a great day. The fireworks were spectacular.
Cons: Parking space could be larger.
This park is actually Huge! The first time we ventured in, we were on the opposite side of the Wacky World play area. Once we finally got over there, we were blown away. The kids had a blast climbing, exploring and running around. There are two individual play areas. One geared towards the little ones and one for the older kids. To make it all better, there's lots of shade to stay cool.
We really enjoy this park. The Wacky Castle is a lot of fun. The only drawback is that it can be difficult to keep track of your kids as they move through it. There are parts of the castle that aren't really accessible by adults. There are lots of swings, passageways and some really fun slides. In addition, there is ample seating to have a picnic and an enjoyable walking trail. The second park, closer to the basketball hoops is lots of fun for younger children.
We happened upon this park randomly when on vacation and driving home from the grocery store run. I spotted the tops of it that looked like a mini cedar castle so I said let's go check it out. Very cool spot. Nicely designed and sectioned off enough that you can safely let the kids run and explore without losing site of them.
Wacky World in Wills park in Alpharetta, Georgia is something special. There are two play areas: one for bigger kids and one for toddlers. The structures look like castles so there are plenty of places to climb. The ground is covered in cedar chips with foamy mats under the swings. The best part is that it is shady!
