"Perfect for toddlers!"

My toddler twins loved it!  There is just enough to see and do for a morning (or whenever) trip.  They were all tuckered out by naptime.  We visited on a Sunday morning, and there weren't many people there.   It may not be enough to entertain older kids for too long, but it's perfect for the little ones!

"Great for young children"

Willowbrook is a peaceful haven. My preschooler loves it. Follow the nature trails into the butterfly garden, see owls, a red fox, raccoons and more. The animals all came to the center injured. They rehabilitate as many as they can and release them back into the wild. The ones that are left are blind, missing limbs, or have other problems creating an interesting menagerie of animals. Inside, there are bunnies, a reading treehouse, puppets, and an indoor hospital. If you're looking for flashy, you won't find it. But if your kids love animals, this may be your place. My preschooler adores it here, asking at each cage, "What's wrong with this one?"

"quick trip but nothing special"

we live just around the corner from the wildlife center.  I would rather drive a little further and go to Cosley Zoo but for a quick trip out this will do.  Be careful if you have a bad reaction to poison ivy since you can get it very easily walking along these trails.  If you are in the area stop in but I wouldn't make a special trip to come here.

"Truly Amazing!"

The center is a haven for animals that have been permanently disabled and are incapable of living in the wild. A 10-minute video explains how the staff treat and care for injured animals, and there are indoor and outdoor exhibits of critters. The Baby Nursery has, you guessed it, baby animals. The center’s hands-on museum for children has animal puppets and a stage for creating their own nature shows. Outdoors there are picnic tables, a butterfly garden, and a nature trail.
