"Free Family Fun."

My daughter loved this place.  She loves to hike and run around so this was perfect for her.  There are trails that lead up to the museum that are nice and well kept.  There is a nice size grass area with picnic tables and BBQ's.   Next to the little gift shop is an area where they keep some pigs, chickens, the biggest cow I have ever seen, ducks, a bunny and a deer.  They sell food out of vending machines to feed all the animals except the pigs.  The deer was extremely gentle, I saw someone petting it.  When you hike up to the museum they have a field where they keep bison.  There is plenty of parking and bathrooms.
The whole experience is FREE!!  Great place!

"Free barn yard animal zoo and nice picnic area"

Good enough for locals. My 3 year old son likes the barn yard animal zoo. I like it because unlike in LA zoo, it's free and I don't have to walk so far to see the animals as it is right there by the entrance and parking.  There's also a good picnic area.  You have to walk or hike to get to the museum but handicapped can drive to it too. The free guided tour of the museum is one of William Hart's old houses. You may drive to the museum on top of the hill if handicapped.

"A fun place for little dudes and dude-ettes"

William S. Hart Ranch and Museum offers not only great scenery and old-fashioned cowboy atmosphere (after all, it was the former home of silent screen star William Hart), it also offers a small barnyard and buffalo to please the little ones. The ranch house itself might be mostly hands-off for little fingers, but for tykes who enjoy seeing animals up close, this is a nice place to visit. Just bring lots of water, because it's hot in this desert location.
