"Good for young children"

This is a great activity if your children love animals, and you want to kill a few hours without spending any money.  Like a mini-zoo that rehabilitates old and wounded animals, the Ecology Park has a ton of different species.  We couldn't believe how close we could get to those huge bears and cows!

"Great for the whole family"

I have recently moved from Long Island to NC and Greatly miss this place!  I grew up playing there and seeing the animals and then I took my kids there!  It is a GREAT place to go on a nice day that is Free!  And it is very educational for the children!

"Fun with the Family"

Built atop a garbage dump, this scenic park offers swimming pools, a fitness trail, picnic and playground areas, a zoo housing local injured wildlife, and a barnyard of friendly farm animals to pet.
