"Great Escape but Very Pricey!"

I grew up in the Northwest and have been going to Wild Waves way back when you could choose to just do the "park" area or the water area.  That is no longer an option (bummer!)  This is a once a summer deal for our family, the park has just priced us out!  The last we went, they didn't allow you to bring in outside food either.  Not to mention, you have to pay for parking.  So, if you have some money to burn and want to have fun doing it.  Wild Waves is the place.  Pick a day that isn't too sunny and hot or you will get the lost in the CROWDS!  There is a big wave pool (full family fun), slides, inner tube slides, "river" ride, some really scary looking water slides, and a special kid area with slides, water sprays, swimming spots.  With our family the wave pool and kiddy area is all we can do.
The dry side of the park is a lot of fun too.  From a big slide, roller coaster, little ride on cars, scrambler, hopping kangaroo ride... You can really make a WHOLE day of it and get your money's worth.  For food, either pack a cooler and eat in the parking lot OR leave the parking lot (last we were there you can come back and park no extra charge) and drive to Costco to pick up a hot dog and soda before heading back to catch some waves!  Costco and Safeway usually sell discount tickets and you can get a season pass, which will quickly pay for itself if you want to make it a summer escape spot.

"Good Washington Theme Park"

This is a six flags park were they took two theme parks and blended them into one.  During the summer you can generally get discounted tickets from local grocery stores.  There is a lot of negatives with this park.

It is not meant for small kids.  Your kids should be able to fit into an inner tube by themselves to enjoy the park.  The rides and attractions are more geared towards upper elementary kids.  The park gets way to crowded and smells like urine on the hot days.  The food is overpriced and very limited.

For our area it is a good theme park to enjoy for the day for your family.  But the main part being the water park can only enjoy it a few months out of the year.

"Fun for kids...overcrowded on extra hot days"

This park is great for fun.  Lots of fun amusement park rides and water park rides.  Get in line early if you want a chair....especially on super hot days.
My daughter(11) and her friends went and lost each other during their visit.  No intercom for them to find each other, so they ended up spending hours looking for each other.....be smart and designate a meeting place when lost. haha..otherwise a great park.

"Wild Waves with young kids"

Wild Waves is a really fun place for adults, teenagers, and older kids.  But with young kids. . . NOT WORTH IT.

We just took our 3 year old and 1 year and there were just SO few things they could do.  They have a fun Pirate's Cove kids area, but it's really crowded and over-run with older kids, so most young kids (like mine!) were afraid of it.  And they were too young even to ride in the Lazy River!  So the only thing they enjoyed was sitting at the edge of the Wave Pool, but they would have had just as much fun at the free wading pool at our local park.

Tip: If you do go with young kids, be aware that everything is very over-priced and they don't allow you to bring any outside food in.  Eat before you go in and after you leave.

Tip: Don't bother to stand in line for the Lazy River unless your child is old enough to stay in their own inner tube.  I had my 3 year-old in the tube with me, and we weren't allowed to continue because everyone needs their own tube.  They're rule nazis there!

"Not Disney, but it's what you get in WA"

Washington doesn't have much of Theme Parks, so Wild Waves is what you get.  With the amount of rain in our area I think that is why no one has built anything Wonderful.  I went as a kid to Wild Waves and was deeply disappointed, coming from being a CA kid.  But in the last few years I went back and they have been bought by the Six Flags corp. and are sprucing things up.  More rides and the park is now one (used to be two).  Bigger slides and bigger rides seem to make this worth while.  You can typically get discount tickets at Grocery stores in the area or Costco, so check that out first. But the price seems decent for what I recall you used to have to pay for each park to get in.  It's worth the trip and fun for Kids, just don't expect to feel like your in Disneyland or Magic Mountain

"Lots of fun for kids of all size"

I love the water rides and the lazy river. Its so much fun. I remember going as a child. The only downfall is there isn't a great selection of rides. They are adding more which is great. If you plan on going more than a couple times, buy the season pass @ Safeway.

"Good for our area"

This is not my favorite place to go with the kids. I must say however that it is A LOT better since they have been adding money into throughout the last few years. They have lots of mediocare rides, wave pool, and a Pirates Lagoon. My kids always enjoy it but as a parent....too crowded, no where to sit, not enough food stands. I am always nervous that I am going to loose one of the kids in the massive crowds. Not for me..
