"Mostly good to buy good chocolate"

My family of four (including a 2 yr old and 3 yr old) enjoyed our time at Wilbur Choc Co. There are ladies in the back of the store making chocolate behind a window. They can hear you and talk to you. The girls enjoyed watching them and seeing what they were making. They have more varieties of choc candies available for sale than you can imagine. Everyone can find something they like. We combined the trip to Lititz with a trip to the Sturgis Pretzel Factory, and it was a perfect day for our family with young ones.

"Great if you are looking to shop"

While there is a lot of chocolate memorabilia (advertisements, packaging, photos) to look at, you can only look at it as there are no descriptions or extra information about what is there.  You can watch some of the employees finish decorating/packaging different chocolates, but it's not that interesting for long especially with kids.  The chocolate is excellent, so it is not cheap.  If you are looking for an inexpensive outing and have kids you can take into a candy store without buying anything, then this is the place.  The store employees were not particularly friendly given that it is a candy store, but it was also Easter week and very busy.

"Chocolate – Need I Say More?"

If you love chocolate, like I love chocolate, then this is a stop you should make. The Wilbur Chocolate Factory is just down the street from the Sturgis Pretzel Bakery in Historic Lititz, PA in the middle of Dutch Country, and they are celebrating more than 125 years in the chocolate business. Though you can not take a tour through the actual, working areas of the factory, Wilbur has a Chocolate Museum that is free of charge and contains all kinds of chocolate molds, cooking utensils, crockery, and serving items that are fun and interesting to look at, including a giant bunny mold that my kids loved. You can also see ladies chocolate-coating a number of tasty treats through the viewing window and shop for many candies made with real Wilbur Chocolate, manufactured on the premises. Oh, and did I mention the FREE Wilbur Bud Samples? Delicious!

"The Best Chocolate in the wolrd"

This company makes the best chocolate I have ever tasted. Located in downtown Lititz, they produce their famous Wilbur buds daily. You can purchase their semi-sweet buds or their dark chocolate buds. They even have a mixed bag of the two kinds in addition to various other types of chocolate delicacies.

"Small and Quaint"

This is a very very small store/museum.  Besides the actual store being small, the walking areas are very narrow.  We found it very difficult to walk through with our toddlers and impossible to push any kind of stroller, no matter how small.

The museum portion is more of an artifict area with shelves of tins, advertisements and boxes from years past that held chocolate.  And not just Wilbur chocolate...any chocolate.  You DO get a free Wilbur Bud in the shop (which is like a Hershey's Kiss, but 10,000 times better).  You can purchase Wilbur Buds and otehr chocolate creations in the small store.  The chocolate they make is delicious, but the cramped museum is worth skipping if children are in tow.

"Mmm...chocolate"

Located next to the beautiful Lititz Springs Park, the Chocolate Factory is one of the main attractions (if not THE main attraction) in Lititz.  Families can go on a little self guided tour to find out about how chocolate is made and a brief history of Wilbur chocolate.  Near the fudge counter, there is always a crock full of free Wilbur Buds. Each person can take one of these yummy confectioneries.  There is also a huge bin of cocoa beans, which you can take for "good luck" (you can't eat these!).  It's nice, in my opinion, for children to see where chocolate comes from.  Also, the main attraction, of course, is the gift shop.  So, don't go in there unless you plan on buying chocolate!

"Wilbur Chocolate Company"

The Wilbur Chocolate Company at this location consists of a museum (of sorts) with demonstrations, and a store that sells just about everything they make. Makes great gifts around holidays, but it's difficult to get in or out without buying or dealing with a young child's tantrum over some sort of chocolate. The best part is that there is no admission fee... which counters the choclate purchases you are bound to make.
