The annual White House Easter Egg is a free and exciting event for kids and their parents too! Among the activities taking place on the South Lawn of the White House are the traditional egg roll games, egg decorating, book readings by celebrities, musical performances, and more. The President and First Lady also traditionally make an appearance to greet the children and wish everyone a happy Easter.
Tickets are required, but they're free of charge and open to anyone. They do go fast though. For the April 13, 2009 Easter Egg Roll, tickets can be reserved online for the very first time. Ticket reservations begin Thursday, March 26.
This is a hot ticket to get every year, even though it is free. Imagine being a guest on the White House lawn. Being able to wander up close and personal with celebrities with the backdrop of the White House. It is almost a sureal moment. Well worth the time and effort.
