This is a high end mall with lots of designer stores. There are lots of great restaurants in the basement. If you're going to grab a bite to eat go for it. But if you're planning on shopping the high end clerks may not appreciate your sticky tot. Use good judgment.
There's lots of places to shop at here. There's Victoria's Secret, Wetseal, American Eagle/Aerie to just name a few stores I like going to. There's areas where you can sit and rest in case your feet get tired. There's a Nordstrom upstaires. If you get hungry, you could go to the bottom floor since it's somewhat like a food court. (Panda Express is my favorite place to dine while I'm there) check it out, its fun!
My family and I frequent the Westfield Mall just to go eat, have coffee, or walk around. We like to take Bart here and it lets you off right in the mall and it gives us a place to eat anything from Vietnamese to Italian, or enjoy a crepe or gelato, and there's a great little family room available with family bathrooms, nursing areas, changing tables, microwave, a TV, and a play area for the kids.
I work with middle and high school girls and this is their favorite place go shop, be, eat...you name it! Almost every store imaginable and ones you haven't thought of yet exist in this mall. It is quite pricey, but the stores range from American Eagle to H&M and Juicy. Westfield is also home to Bloomingdales.
This mall has an incredible food court in the bottom floor with all types of food (this is not your typical greasy food court).
There is easy parking behind the mall and bart stops underneath it. Located right on Market Street it is easy to get to and park! The main door to the mall is across the street from the Cable Car beginning/end point so you can sight see and then shop. There is tons of shopping just outside it's door as well.
