Western Museum of Flight

"The planes! The planes!"

This is a small museum at the Torrance Municipal Airport that features different types of restored aircraft, wind tunnel models and other artifacts important to the aviation and aerospace industry. Highlights for me and my hubby were getting to climb into the cockpit of an F-5A Freedom Fighter jet (our kiddos were too young to do so). The highlight for my little guy though was getting to climb into a BD-5 sport plane which made for a super cute photo. He also liked pretending he was flying a plane with the flight control panel on display. Just outside the hangar we got to watch small planes land and take off. It was way cool!!!

Admission is $5 for adults and kids under 12 are free.
