Webb Ranch is highly accessible and has seasonal organic produce all year round. With 230+ acres and located near Stanford University, Webb Ranch has pumpkins to be picked in Oct, Christmas Trees to be cut in December, and organic berries of all sorts to be picked during the spring and summer (raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, etc.) and organic produce at other times of the year. Webb Ranch also has a Horse Riding School and Boarding.
When Brentwood and Pescadero seem to far, we love coming to Webb Ranch. It's conveniently located for Peninsula folks in Portola Valley right off of 280. The ranch is small which is great for little legs that tire easily. If you're lucky, they have a little petting zoo (rabbits, pigs, and ducks) and ponies to ride for a couple of bucks. My 3 year old loves pushing the wheelbarrows and wagons in the fields.
The fruit is delicious and organic although we rarely make it out of the fields with any to bring home. (I guess that's why they charge admission). We've gone for raspberries, blackberries, olallieberries, and pumpkins. Always fun for everyone. Be sure to bring hats because it can get hot in the sun.
The only reason I took away one star is that the fields are small, so it gets crowded and the fruit gets picked through quickly.
This is a great place to pick berries, convenient (really close to I-280) and fairly inexpensive. Very low-key. Be prepared with sunscreen and hats, as there aren't really any shady spots to hide away, and it can get quite hot.
I don't recall whether there were bathrooms, but I do remember a hand-washing area, which was key after my toddler picked (ate!) so many olallieberries!
