Wawaloli Beach

Located on the west side of Big Island is this long and sandy beach.  The large tide pool creates a nice swimming hole for kits when big waves prevent swimming in the sea. This beach has restrooms and showers as well as barbecue pits and picnic tables. There is also a nice view of Hualalai Volcano and the Kona Coast.  
Avoid the sea because of the high surf and strong currents.  But do enjoy the multitude of tidepools with your kids.    
Little shade is available.
