The day before Easter, my family attended an event by Water Gap Trolley called Trolley Ride with Easter Bunny. It included a thirty minute trolley ride, goodie bag for the kids, ice cream and a game of mini golf for $6 a person. I called ahead and made a reservation. The woman on the phone informed me they would be departing from the Shoppes at Historic Castle Inn and not the usual trolley departure location.
We boarded the trolley without an issue but they had oversold and a few were left behind. The trolley ride was a shortened to thirty minutes versus the usual sixty minutes. The driver showed us a sight called Cold Air Cave, a pedestrian bridge, a waterfall and we were able to pull off to see a scenic overlook. There was the option to take a picture with the Easter bunny here as well but the costume was lame so only one family did. Once we returned we were welcomed to visit Zoe's Ice cream Emporium (located within the Shoppes at Historic Castle Inn) and have a FREE cup of Ice Cream. After the ice cream they invited us to visit Water Gap Trolley's regular sight to play a round of mini golf. I would say as far as this event goes, you get what you pay for. For $6 it was worth it but I wouldn't consider this an exceptional experience or anything I would highly recommend.
The Water Gap Trolley takes vacationers from the depot on Route 611 near the town’s center (actually, it’s right across from the town’s only stoplight) into the National Recreation Area. The one-hour narrated tour covers the geological and cultural history of the region.
