Ward Warehouse and Ward Centre Shopping Centers are adjacent to each other, encompassing
four city blocks with one-of-a-kind shops and big-value retailers, twenty-three
restaurants, and even a farmers’ market. You’ll find an entertainment center featuring a
sixteen-screen megaplex and a midway of interactive high-tech attractions. Hawaii’s crafts
renaissance is in full flower at the various stores here. You’ll see carved wooden bowls
(the locals call them calabashes), feather leis, capes, and quilts. Check out the fishhook
pendants at the Native Books and Beautiful Things showroom. Carved of bone, wood, or
fossilized ivory, the fishhook shape has survived since antiquity.

the shops aren't that special here, so we go here for the food. we like the fish plates at kakaako kitchen near the nordstrom; our 1 year old likes the purple taro rolls. we just discovered that brew moon, which was good for groups has shut down. very sad.
