Warbington Farms started in Forsyth County over 35 years ago. In the beginning, poultry and cattle were the main focus of the farm, but strawberries, fresh produce, and having lots of fun are now what we do best. This locally run farm has been a family business since day one. Crop farming is what we do behind the scenes, but making lasting memories is what is near and dear to our hearts. Check our other pages for detailed “activities” and fresh produce information.
Warbington Farms had a Groupon this past week that my family took advantage of...and it was well worth the trip. This small family farm has recently started to open to the public and they are getting it right already. All of those working the farm are family members and they were very friendly and seemed to be well organized.
Thanks to the Groupon, our family of four was able to try all of the activities on the farm. We started by feeding the goats and ducks. Although I was worried the animals weren't interested in eating by the time we got there, we seemed to get rid of all of our feed. After a quick stop to pet the pony, we got on the tractor ride. I always love tractor rides that offer something other than a ride through a big field. This one did not disappoint. We were all surprised when the tractor stopped and from our seats, we were able to throw food into the troughs for the cows. At that point, the cows came running right up to the tractor to snack on the feed much to the kids delight. It was a great surprise and completely entertaining!
When we returned to the farm, the kids each had a pony ride, then jumped on the oversized inflatable slide and finished by picking out a pumpkin. We loved that it wasn't too crowded which meant no lines for waiting!
The farm has events running throughout the year. I encourage families to check their website for events - ex: Pumpkin Palooza coming in October! So great to see a family working the land, making it fun for other families to enjoy.
