"Good open air shopping"

This is a surprisingly family-friendly outlet mall.  The trolley is free and a great way to get from one side to the other.  Kids will love the ride and the treats available at several mall vendors.  There is a shave ice cart down by Old Navy and a Dippin Dots up by the outlets.  There is also a Malassada (donut-type treat)truck near the bank that is a must-try.  Parents will appreciate the shopping opportunity while kids will appreciate the fun diversions.

"Great Place for Great Deals"

Waikele Premium Outlets is an outdoor mall with over 50 retail and department stores such as Old Navy, Borders Books & Music, Armani Exchange, Carters, Osh Kosh, KMart, & Game Stop.

They also have some great family restaurants like Chili's, Genki Sushi, and McDonalds. Our favorite is Jurisons Inn where you can enjoy some local plate lunches and bentos. They're known for their fried noodles and mochiko chicken so don't forget to try those!

My kids favorite part of this outlet mall is the free trolley rides. You can hop on at any designated stop and just ride around all day. It takes about 15 minutes to make a complete round and it's lots of fun for the kids!

"Yes, it's an outlet mall but..."

Yes, this may be an outlet mall, but it is surprisingly a fun place to take kids. The mall itself is an open air mall where many of the shops open up to a courtyard instead of a parking lot. There are a handful of kids stores, but that is not what the kids are going to find entertaining - take a bag of quarters because they are going to love the collection of rides spread out throughout the mall area. A quick stop to the bathrooms (closest to the entrance - not the ones at the back) and a deposit of 2 quarters into the baseball game where the prizes are bouncy balls results in at least an hour of entertainment if you are open to letting the kids bounce the balls up and down the long hallway. For a couple of be good moments while mommy looks in a store or two, the numerous little fun things for kids results in a positive shopping experience (half the time my kids don't even realize that we are shopping). There is also a free trolley that runs between the outlet mall and the nearby Waikele shopping center. The Trolley is entertainment all by itself.
