My husband son and I went for the first time this past year and it was awesome! The trails were dirt but I agree with the other lady not to bring your nice shoes. But, they were good enough to have the stroller on it. It is very kid friendly. They had everything labeled very well and reading about each animal was really cool and our son was so happy to see so many different animals so close but in a safe place! We will be going back next year to take our daughter because she was only a few months old when we took our son!
I dont know...this place had lots of cool animals to look at, but too bad they were all near death or in very poor condition. I felt sick to my stomache looking at how truely sad some of the animals looked. A huge lion had a very small cage and was very skinny. There was also a couple ponies/mules that looked like they hadnt had anything to eat in a very long time. This place was family owned and Im sure its hard to maintain 100+ animals...especially exotic ones who need a little more of a homely habitat to be happy...but if you cant keep your animals fed and happy...dont keep them there and have them suffer. These are living beings and its horrible to see them in those situations when THEY cant do anything about it. We ended up just leaving out of sickness!
inexpensive petting zoo. Its a dirt path so dont bring your nice shoes. They have lots of different animals to observe and even feed and pet some too. Great family adventure for low cost. Staff are wonderul and will continue to go here again. If you find one of the coupon books you get a dollar off too. Lots of walking so bring comfortable shoes. They have wagons to rent for the kiddies so you dont have to use ur stroller.
First, this zoo is out in the middle of no where! That was what was so great about it! We'd been all over MB and it was nice to have a scenic drive. It wasn't very far away from the main part of MB. The zoo isn't like your typical state zoo...so be prepared! lol! There are peacocks and chickens that run around the zoo out of their cages...perfectly harmless! My 1 year old loved this place! There are all sorts of animals there and even some old cars to look at too. It's a neat place for kids to go. The only down side is that it's hard to take a stroller there b/c of the dirt paths to the animals. Other than that we loved it!
