The mile-long Eastbank Esplanade features a 1,200 foot floating walkway, public boat docks, river overlooks and cantilevered walkways, plazas, urban markers, public art and access to the Steel Bridge Walkway for bicyclists and pedestrians. The Steel Bridge is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Esplanade, the perfect place for a lesiurely, picturesque stroll or a bike ride is 1.5 miles long along the Willamette River With views of the Morrison, Burnside and Steel bridges the walkway connects to eastside neighborhoods as well as across the river to Gov. Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
Cross over the walkway along the Steel bridge to reach downtown Portland and the Saturday Market on weekends.
