"Fun with the Family"

Sailing, fishing, scuba diving, and sightseeing trips can all be arranged at the village. Shops and restaurants abound here, too. Home of the Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center.

"An arcade, a carousel, ice cream, and fish!"

When we visit family in Ventura, we always take a trip to the Harbor! If you have little explorers in your family who collect Junior Ranger Badges from the National Parks, be sure to stop by the Channel Islands Harbor nature center and pick up a Junior Ranger program book! We ALWAYS eat at Andria's. It's the very best fish & chips, chowder, and calamari you will find anywhere. If you go on the weekend, be prepared to wait in line! We like to sit on the patio and watch the fishermen bring in fresh barrels of fish. We walk off our fish fry by heading around the harbor to look at the boats in the marina and watching the birds. We buy our tickets to ride on the old-fashioned carousel and we munch on saltwater taffy while we wait. If you get tired of the shops, you can head across the street and walk along the beach. The Harbor is a great place to spend the afternoon, have some lunch, and get a little bit of education!
