This library is not one of the newer ones that Santa Clarita has built. Those are so big and amazing. This one is small and does it's job as far as material goes. The young section has an amazing amount of books. We have never left without at least 10 and we have hardly made a dent. (You are allowed to check out up to 50 books) There are about 6 computers and ample amount of seating area, most of the time. The weekends are quite busy. The check out is self serve, so need to wait in line for a librarian to check you out. (There are 8 kiosks) It is really easy to put a book on hold through the library system online. That's really nice & convenient, since you can tell if a book is available, if not you can put it on hold and they will email you when it has been returned.
As story time goes...Mondays at 10:00 in the toddler section, one of the less than exciting librarians reads a couple books. My daughter who loves books was not entertained at all. A couple of my friends children felt the same way. It is worth trying to see if your child is entertained. Even though they could improve on there story time skills, the library makes up with the ample amount of quality books they have for children.
