Visit part of the 600,000 square foot facility in Hanover, Pennsylvania. A special glass enclosed observation gallery looks down on the production process from beginning to end. You will be guided step-by-step with the aid of a push-to-talk audio program and closed-circuit TV monitors. A wall display of Utz’s history will enhance your understanding of the company and its products.

"Watch your food being made!"
The Utz Factory Tour is a neat place to spend a little time if you ever end up in or passing through Hanover, PA. You can go inside and take a free tour of the life of a potato chip! From the potato truck to the chips in your Utz bag. I love that the tour is free and that in the end you get to take a free bag of chips home. Not the healthiest tour but the kids were fascinated by how a big potato becomes a small thin crispy chip.

"Family-Friendly Tour"
At the Utz Factory Tour, you can see potato chips made from the potato trucks coming in to the boxes of chips being loaded up for sale. Looking down from windows above the factory area, you can spend as little or as much time as you want at each station. Special platforms allow little ones to have a good view as well. At the end, everyone gets a bag of chips. The entire tour is free.
