When my kids brought home a coupon from school for this place, we decided to try it out. We LOVED it. We went on a Saturday morning when they offer free skate lessons and include skate rental with cost of admission. The had skates small enough for my 2-year-old (size 9t) and big enough for my husband (men's size 13). They also have some plastic skates that don't glide as well but could are harder to fall on. We used those for the two-year-old. The skate lessons are available for different levels of skaters. More advanced kids were learning to skate backwards while mine were learning not to fall. The instructors were experienced and patient. Having a lesson before trying to skate on their own made the experience a lot more enjoyable for my first-timers (ages 2-9). When the open skate time started, the center of the rink was reserved just for novice kid skaters and their parents so they had a safe environment. There were also walker type things available to rent to help kids balance. When kids are tired of skating or need a break, there are arcade games and a concessions area. Be sure to check for discounts on their website before you go because they always seem to have some coupon or promotion going on.
