Upscale shopping center near the University of Washington. Great stores and restaurants!! There is a small play area for kids within the center.
There are some things that are great about shopping here. #1 would have to be that they have stores that you just can't find anywhere else. My favorites are Pottery Barn Kids, Land of Nod, and H&M. On the downside, it is a pain with the kids if it is raining as it's outdoors. Not to mention that this also means some of the stores are a really long walk from eachother. If the stores they have are of particular interest to you then you will love it, but if you just want a fun shopping experience then i would choose a mall in the city or on the eastside.
I love this modern outdoor mall. They have every store you want and more. Great food, amazing shops, friendly staff, clean walk ways.
Whether your on a mission for the perfect gift, shopping for school clothes for the kid, picking up something special for your self, or just wanting to relax and brose this is the place for you!
I love the atmosphere! This place is uptodate, well decorated, nicely laid out and HUGE! It feels like it will never end with the best of the best when it comes to shopping!
It if conveniently located to the UW school and near by hospitals.
I love the Apple Store, Crate and Barell, Barnes and Noble, Coldwater Creek and much more!
This is the best place to shop because they still have free parking and some fun for kids. It is so nice to be able to pull up and park where you want to go! Very convenient and most of the stores you would want to shop at including Apple, Anthropologie, and Barnes and Nobel. There are some excellent food shops there too and smaller independent stores.
University Village is one of my favorite shopping centers in Seattle. It's located near the University of Washington, and is a sprawling shopping complex. It is an outdoor mall, so if we're having a rainy Seattle day, it's not quite as much fun to walk around. But the shopping is great- tons of stores with things for kids including Land of Nod, Pottery Barn Kids, a large toy store, and several kids clothing stores. There are also plenty of restaurants and places to stop and rest.
University Village has one small play area for kids. It does tend to get crowded, especially on nice days, but if your child doesn't mind the crowd, then it's a fun place to play.
I like to meet my sister here, get coffee, then sit and watch my daughter play on all the animal sculptures. The play area is small and crowded but ok for a short period of time.
The store "Kid's Club" has a lot to offer. Cute clothes for birth - school age, a kids salon, accesories, gifts and toys. Next to the kids play area.
I like to go into the "Hannah Anderson" kids clothing store and see if they have anything on sale. Otherwise, I buy this brand at the outlet store in Issaquah or second hand because it is expensive. Also next to the play area.
We always eat at "Pallino Pastaria". They have good food with quick service. I get the Fettuccini Alfredo, YUM!
"Village Playdays" are Tuesday's 10-11. Free story time, crafts and activities for kids. Attend a Playdays event and receive a Playdays Pass featuring special offers to select Village shops and restaurants.
Free Valet Parking during the Holidays (I do some of my Christmas shopping here.)
University Village is a popular, one-stop-shopping kind of place. I love that there is a grocery store, drug store, and other "basics" (i.e., bank, daycare center) around the outskirts for convenience. In the middle of the village, there's a small climbing/play area for kids, several coffeehouses, a great bakery (called Specialties), and a Barnes and Noble bookstore. Great, wide sidewalks for strollers and such. The only down side is that it is typically quite crowded and a bit up-scale, so if you prefer to save, I'd go clothes shopping at a local mall instead.
