"Lacked the "Wow" factor"

I'm not typically a big fan of aquariums and zoos to begin with, for the whole situation seems a little melancholy to me when I see all those poor creatures behind glass when they're meant to be somewhere more exciting and mystifying.  Though, I do know children love viewing animals up close and in real life, as does my husband.  Yet, I did think it would be rather cool to go underground, and even better, beneath the water and view aquatic life as if you were in the water with them.  I ended up being disappointed, even if my daughter (at the time just turned 2) was somewhat satisfied by the fieldtrip.
I have been to the enormous aquarium in Monterey, California and so far it remains unbeat.  The underground tunnels did not add any further appeal to the tour than a regular aquatic museum.  And even though I want to say that this was advertised to be the longest/largest underwater aquarium, it only took us 30 minutes to make our way through it, despite being pregnant traveling with a group of nine.  I don't know if we just were not interested that day.  Or maybe because we've seen better.  The exhibits were just not that captivating.
The kids found the room at the end, which was equipped with a wrecked, treasure ship to play in, was the most fun.

"The water tunnels are the best!"

We spent a few hours walking through the Underwater adventures aquarium and we loved it!  Watching sharks swim over head is an amazing experience, you can see their teeth and watch how they move.. they are so huge and yet so graceful.  There were turtles and beautiful and unusual looking fish every where!  The jelly fish exhibit was my daughter's favorite place and one of my other kids thought the sea horses were the best.  You get to watch them for as long or as little as you like since it is self paced and your wrist bands are good for the whole day so you can go back later in the day.  If you read the displays along the way, you can learn a lot about the creatures that are in each area.  We got to see ocean fish, turtles, jelly fish, snakes, fresh water fish, and Sea horses.  I can't wait to go back and neither can my children!

"Over Rated"

I think the Underwater Adventures in the mall of america is overpriced.  The actual aquarium is nice.  The kids can feed sting rays and do a simulation ride but I think for about 100 dollars for a family of 4 I would just go to the pet store and save your money.

"Wait for a coupon and not if you're motion sick"

Underwater World is highly overrated.  There are several zoos that have similar exhibits that are part of your normal ticket cost, not an entirely separate attraction and fee like this one.  If you have a coupon (like BOGO), it's worth it to go once to see what it's all about.  But be forewarned, if you get at all motion sick, skip out!  I rarely ever get carsick, but I don't do well watching video games like Mario Kart...well I got really sick from watching the glass in the tunnel.  I don't know if it's the way it's shaped, or the way the light reflects off of it or what, but both my husband and I felt queasy after going through.

"Sharks!!!"

This is a great place for the entire family, from the area where they let you touch the stingrays, they also have movie memorbilia, along with the walk through tunnel full of sea creatures from sharks, fish, and sea turtles big ones!!! They also have a tank with a very large octopus, baby seahorses, a finding nemo tank with the gang and lots more. They have two gift shops and sometimes even a sharky is there to greet you...the price is just right along with a coupon it can be even better. Great for all ages!!!!!

"Small and expensive"

We finally found the right coupons to go to this.  It still cost a lot for what it was.  We saw nice animals up close which was great for the little kids.  It is around 19 per adult and the aquarium ends in a gift shop which is hard for the kids to resist.  But if money isn't a problem this is a nice place to go in the mall of america.

"If you have a Shark love this is the place to take them!"

My son is obsessed with sharks, so we took a trip up to the mall of America, and went to underwater world.  It was amazing!  It is the largest underground aquarium in the US.  He was amazed by all the fish and sharks.. he was entertained for about 2 hours.  He is 4.  I think it is great for many age ranges.. even little guys lots of things to look at. My son's favorite part was the tank at the end where you can pet a shark... he wasn't brave enough.. but it was still his fav!

"Not worth the high admission"

We over-estimated when we chose Underwater Adventures, the largest underground aquarium. The price was high for the adventure. The moving walkway was underwhelming -- slow and squeaky. We did, however, love petting the (tiny) sharks and stingrays at the entrance/exit. We wore our "I petted a shark" stickers with pride.

"Not the Best I've Seen"

(This is actually located in Bloomington, MN, a Minneapolis suburb. The Trekaroo system wouldn't allow Bloomington as a city.)
Although it may be the largest underground aquarium, that doesn't mean it's huge.  The moving walkway offers one-pace service to the tunnel of fish, and it is interesting to see the underside of a shark, but I didn't think it was worth the high price of admission.  There are two new exhibits opening soon, so I may give it a second look, but for now I prefer the aquarium at the Minnesota Zoo, with the rest of the zoo included in the price.
