"Fun with the Family"

See an array of military transportation vehicles, including the world’s only captured “flying saucer,” the first helicopter to land at the South Pole, and the army’s largest helicopter, the “Flying Crane.” This facility traces more than 200 years of Army tranportation history through film, miniature models, life-size displays, and nearly one hundred actual vehicles, aircraft, amphibians, rail equipment, and experimental craft. There are exhibits on Transportation Corp activities in Korea, the Cold War, Vietnam, and Iraqi Freedom, which portrays the lives of soldiers. Also displayed is the gun truck “Eve of Destruction,” the only gun truck to return intact from Vietnam.
