Local park with two playgrounds (one for toddlers and one for older kids), a splash park, ballfields, restrooms, tennis courts, a cross-country ski trail, and sled hill. The splash park includes a cushioned rubber surface. Based on a nautical theme, water sprays through an in-ground spout, whales tail, or maybe even an anchor will squirt or spray the water.
This is a great place for kids of all ages. The splash park, playground areas, and sand play are fantastic. My kids love rolling down the large hill, and watching concerts in the park over the summer. We will be heading there for a walk-a-thon in June. Found that info at www.renewhopehaiti.com. Can't wait to spend the day and enjoy!
I have been to this park a few times and every time I have had a wonderful time!
the Splash Pad is great even though you have to pay to go in, its worth it when its a hot and sunny day in Chicago.
The paths are nice and with a lot to view during those evening walks around the park!
This is park is fun for all ages and inexpensive. The playground, park, and picnic areas are free, but I'm pretty sure there is a fee for the water park. I think it's on;y a few dollars per child though. The water park is geared towards younger children, but my older ones still have fun running through the sprinklers.
We love this park, especially when the weather is warm enough for the splash park. For $4 for non-Westmont residents, it's a pretty good bargain. The splash park is great for young children and have seen older children enjoying the splash park too. If the weather is not warm enough, the playgrounds are really great too.
The actual Splash park at Ty Warner is large. There is also a playground outside of it that's actually pretty cool, too. Didn't play on that with the kids, since we spent all our time in the splash area. There's a nice covered picnic area with bathrooms outside of the splash area. I'd advise getting there with the park opens so you can snag a good picnic table with an umbrella otherwise it gets very sunny. Can't remember the cost, but pretty reasonable for not being a resident.
this splash park is located just north of ogden avenue. We have only been to the splash park which is great (kids that aren't walking yet are free!). on the same park grounds i think there are soccer and baseball fields. there are two play grounds right next to the splash park (one for toddlers and one for older kids), there is a covered picnic area right there too.
